I have exposed my camera to the rain and now it's not getting up. When i put it on the lenses just comes out and reteract. It just doesn't bring up the screen. Please advise as to whether i can see any repair shop in NewYork to fix this.... Kodak people said they cannot give me the warranty as it is a user negligence.... Please advise me to what should i do....
Advises are highly appreciated
Try a new battery, these cameras seem to eat batteries, like a kid eats candy. ours does the same thing, when the batteries are low. the rain may not have caused a problem at all,it's not too spendy to try, cheaper than buying a new camera.

It is not possible to buy a viewing screen for KODAK cameras.
An Out of Warranty repair for this model for this fault is about 88 pounds + shipping. KODAK also offers a Trade up option where you will have the opportunity to trade up to a newer model 25-30% cheaper than the market price.

If the camera will not power on at all, then I have no where to start. Nothing can be done except repair. this camera will need repair, or sell it as parts or as is on a site such as Ebay. Call Kodak, and tell them the problem,it just might be that they may take the camera back. It may be worth the time. Go to the website for kodak, find the support and then find the service or repair department. Call them.
Hello Steve, There is no easy way to open the camera, your best bet is to just let it set in a warm dry area for a couple of days. This usually occurs during times of high humidity or from a rapid change in camera temperature like warm indoors to cold outdoors. Best Regards, Russell
I had this same problem. Go to menu then arrow to the right to access the tools. Scroll down to image storage, if like mine it was on internal memory, to fix it press the OK button and switch to auto. Then it will ask if no memory card in camera use internal memory continue will be highlighted, press OK. Hope this helps someone i searched the internet for a solution and just accidentally solved this problem by searching the cameras menu.
Mine did the same thing and I found out that the battery door was not completely closing. I put a rubber band around it to put pressure on the little battery door and it worked. My son's camera did the same thing.
