Try a new battery, these cameras seem to eat batteries, like a kid eats candy. ours does the same thing, when the batteries are low. the rain may not have caused a problem at all,it's not too spendy to try, cheaper than buying a new camera.

Nothing is going to repair this Damp and moisture is death to digicams But the next camera, and if you like taking photos in the rain invest in a water proof enclosure.

My kodak easy share z712 IS won't power on, I have used 6 sets of batteries, to no avail. The batteries are new, thinking that was the problem, I bought this refurbished about a year ago, it worked for...

If the camera will not power on at all, then I have no where to start. Nothing can be done except repair. this camera will need repair, or sell it as parts or as is on a site such as Ebay.
Call Kodak, and tell them the problem,it just might be that they may take the camera back. It may be worth the time. Go to the website for kodak, find the support and then find the service or repair department. Call them.

I have moister inside the lense of my kodak easy share dx6490. How do I open it so that I can dry the lense

Hello Steve, There is no easy way to open the camera, your best bet is to just let it set in a warm dry area for a couple of days. This usually occurs during times of high humidity or from a rapid change in camera temperature like warm indoors to cold outdoors.
Best Regards, Russell

Scroll down to image storage, if like mine it was on internal memory, to fix it press the OK button and switch to auto. Then it will ask if no memory card in camera use internal memory continue will be highlighted, press OK. Hope this helps someone i searched the internet for a solution and just accidentally solved this problem by searching the cameras menu.

I have a Kodak Easy Share Camera ANd I have a charger, had this for 2 years and now the charger shows green when charged but will not open the lense

Mine did the same thing and I found out that the battery door was not completely closing. I put a rubber band around it to put pressure on the little battery door and it worked. My son's camera did the same thing.
