Check that the battery is in the correct way. Reset the machine after you check battery.

Put scale in round file can. Buy another cheap scale.

Hi take the batteries out then put them in again that should solve the problem

and same again. batteries are fine but i get an error message

The scales display EE as they are reading a negative weight.

With the scales switched OFF place 2 glass plates on the scales and press ON.

The scales should now display 0g.

If this doesn't work add more weight and try again.

There is also 4 screws on the underside of the scales which hold the weighing bar in place, if you loosen the 2 smaller screws this should relieve some of the stress so less weight is needed to zero the scales.

Googled around until I found specifications for an unrelated brand of a similar bathroom scale. It mentioned making sure batteries were flat side uppermost in their compartment, which did the trick.
