Clear and simple. the batteries are bad. they last about 3-5 years usually. "batteries plus" in your area will usually replace them and dispose of the old batteries. In the past I have replaced the batteries myself and taken the old ones to a battery surplus house and gotten a few dollars for the old ones (battery core).

My cable light dont blink

Turn off your modem (unplug it from the wall or surge protector).

Once you have done this, wait for at least ten seconds, if not one full minute. (This allows the modem to reset itself)

Plug the modem back into the wall or surge protector.

The modem will begin its start-up sequence and finally it should respond with a "blinking" connectivity light.

If you have a wireless or wired router connected to your modem you must make certain that you follow the next steps, or the router may not work to provide you with an Internet connection.

1. Unplug the Modem.
2. Unplug the Router.
3. Wait for one full minute.
4. Plug the Modem back in to the wall or surge protector.
5 Wait for the modem to complete its start-up sequence.
6. Plug in the router. (if you plugged in the router the same time you plugged in your modem, start at step #1 and try again...)
7. Wait for the router to finish its start-up sequence.
8. Test the connectivity to the Internet.

If this does not work, please add some clarification as to what service provider you are using, the type of modem/brand, and if you have a router...

I had to unplug my tv today (actually the TV is plugged into a surge protector, so I unplugged the surge protector.) when I plugged the surge protector back in the TV wouldn't go on (acts as if its...

There should be a surge release button on the surge protector to bring the protector back to normal (should be red in color) Some surge protection devices have this option so just check if your s has it. If that is not the case than I think that you might have blown a fuse in your TV.Might just have to open it up and change the fuse within with the same ratings, but please be careful because do have high voltages so get an experienced technician to do this for you.
Good Luck.

The wii was unplugged inadvertantly, once plugged back in it won't turn on...red light does not come on...what are the possible reasons ...cable had gone out earlier in day and had to reboot

You most likely need to reset the AC adapter.

This is a common problem with the Wii. Even if it's hooked up to a surge protector. If there was a power surge, or the power went out, etc...anything, this will happen. You plug it back in, the power comes on, but it appears dead. The problem is with the AC adapter, not the Wii itself.

There is a circuit inside the AC adapter that needs to be reset. Unplug the AC adapter from the wall/surge protector outlet. Don't unlpug it from the Wii, it has to be at the outlet. You have to kill power to the adapter.

Unlpug it from the wall/surge protector outlet, and leave it unplugged for 5 or 10 minutes. This will kill power to the AC adapter, and give the circuit time to reset. When you plug the adapter back into the outlet after 5 or 10 minutes, the red led on the front should be lit up, and it should work.

My Wii stopped working. Nothing lights up.

This is a common problem with the Wii. As I said, I'm very surprised Nintnedo didn't cover this in the owners manual FAQ, considering it happens almost every time there is a power surge or the power goes out, etc.

Even if it's hooked up to a surge protector, this happens. Power comes back on, but the Wii appears dead. It won't turn on, and the LED indicators won't light. If there was a power surge, or the power went out,etc...anything, this will happen. The problem is with the AC adapter, not the Wii itself.

There is no need to buy a new one or a AC adapter. Resetting it should work. There is a circuit inside the AC adapterthat needs to be reset. Unplug the AC adapter from the wall/surge protector outlet. Don't unlpug it from the Wii, it has to be at the outlet. You have to kill power to the adapter.

Unlpug it from the wall/surge protector outlet, and leave it unplugged for 5 or 10minutes. This will kill power to the AC adapter, and give the circuit time to reset. When you plug the adapter back into the outlet after 10 minutes, the red led on the front should be lit up.

Reset Surge Protector

Hi,

You can fix it by doing this. but first you need to make sure you leave your house for at least 4 hours so you don't have to be hearing that frigging noise, IT CAN BE DONE! i fixed it.
my unit would start beeping as soon as I plug it in wall, and red light come on, the software is telling me the battery is unplugged
this is what i did in order.
1. unplug all cords, connected to the unit, and power cord to the wall.
2. hold the power button
3. still holding the power button, Connect it to wall. (red light would be on but no beep)
4. I watched TV for 6 hours, red light still flashing
5. disconnect from wall
6 connect back to wall

I heard the unit click one time and green light came on, is charging now....
