Phaser 7700GX Color Printer prints wrinkled pages!
Everytime I print out something, it comes out wrinkled looking like a paper fan. Usually everything prints out ok onto the paper so the only problem I have is that it comes out wrinkled throughout the paper. Sometimes the paper tray A will jam, and I think it might be related to this or a completely different issue. Do all the print jobs come out wrinkled because the fuser was too hot? Please help! Thank you!
This is the second time we have had to replace the fuser in less than a year. The paper is jamming especially when duplexing. Does anyone know why the mylar is coming off? Is there something in the Konica C351 that would cause it to become loose and wrinkled? This is the second time we have had to replace the fuser in less than a year. When this occurs the problem is most of the time with the transport roller, fuser / fixing assembly roller.question is the image still toner only and not fused to the paper.
In these areas there is offen a jammed and not removed piece of paper dislodged in the paper path or jammed in the fuser or the transfer rollers teflon coating has perished inspect the areas carefully and remove any found if the unit still is faulty (fanning of paper the fuser would be the first to be replaced are past there usable life) if so then Post a reply

With Troublshooting highlighted on the printer display perform the following steps:
Press OK.
Press the Down Arrow and scroll to Print Quality Problems.
Press OK.
Press the Down Arrow and scroll to Remove Print Smears.
Press OK. The printer will print 5 cleaning pages.
Repeat this process five or six times, to remove stubborn toner buildup from the fuser.
Always make sure you are matching the type of paper loaded in the printer tray(s) to the correct Paper Type front panel setting. When you load a tray with paper, the front panel will ask you to indicate the type of paper you loaded. For correct print quality and printer operation, be sure to set this correctly.

I'm not real sure about how the software separates the colors, but I believe there's a way to choose a color as all colors combined to make black, or simple black.
I'm not sure if I'm making any sense, but if the printer is using all the colors to layer up and make black, then it would be a pretty thick coating and that might cause it to flake off.
Description sounds like the fuser rollers are bad. To check it out run a 1/2 test. Put paper in the manual feed tray. Print something. As the paper gets 1/2 way into the printer, open the top cover,(you might have to print a few sheets to catch it just right) take out the toner and look down at the paper. If it is wrinkled, you could have a bad toner cartridge. If it looks good...get the fuser replaced.
The printer trays accommodate most sizes and types of paper, transparencies, or other specialty media. Follow these guidelines when loading paper and media in the trays: - Envelopes, labels, and glossy paper can be printed from Tray 1 (MPT) only. - Transparencies and custom size paper can be printed from Tray 1 (MPT) and Tray 2. - Fan paper, transparencies, and labels prior to loading them in the tray. - Use only paper envelopes. All envelopes should be printed single-sided only. Some wrinkling and embossing may occur when printing envelopes. - Do not overload the paper trays. - Adjust the paper guides to fit the paper size. - If excessive jams occur, use paper or other media from a new package.
I am looking for a diagram on how to print envelopes with my phaser 6180 mfp - when I put the envelopes in, it keeps telling me that I need to put paper in. where can I find such diagram?
Try cleaning the Laser Unit for Yellow. Try replacing the Imaging Unit for Yellow, or simply take it out and move it to another color.... if the problem occurs on the the other color then it is definitely your Imaging Unit. One of those two is probably causing your issue.

this is usually not caused by the paper tray. this problem is usually caused by the fuser assembly. check your paper path. dead cycle the printer, shut the printer down before the paper enters the fusing area, check for wrinkles. remove all paper, print again, check the output, wrinkles, replace the fuser.
