Logitech 5000 I use my webcam on messanger . It's stays on for 5 min. Then my computer crashes rigth down to no power . Then i have to turn the computer back on again.i have windows -xp

You might have a power problem. Do you have other USB devices? Try unplugging all other USB devices and see if that fixes it.

Hi, If the computer shuts down after plugging in the Webcam, there might be an issue with the power supply of your computer. IT only means that the power on the tower is not ample enough to get the webcam going. You can check the power settings of your hardware on the bios. Cheers!!

Mic has quit working on Quickcam Pro 5000

Did you by chance mute it in the computers sound manager or a specific program (msn, yahoo)? These settings tend to over-ride the Logitech console settings.

Pro 500

Have you tried shutting down, turning off and restarting the PC yet? If not give it a try, MSN could have crashed but Windows still things it running. When you try to start MSN again you get your error message. If you've already tried that or if it doesn't work did you receive any error messages or make any significant change prior?

Camera is not working

This sometimes happens with the cd driver, uninstall your driver first, the try loading this driver http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/downloads/software/US/EN,CRID=1794,contentid=11022. Just check that when Windows says device is detected, see if it actually states your camera make and model, then says, your hardware is installed and ready to use, and NOT your hardware is installed but may not work correctly.
