The water shorted it out. It will need to be repaired.

check the fuse on the power wire (+) not the ground wire .. i had a kicker 1500.1 on 2 l7 15\'s and when the bass would hit hard the fuse would vibrate and cause the amp to go into safe mode.. after re wireing the whole truck i then found out it was the 150amp fuse holder

My kicker dx 500.1 and my xpliod tens worked for all of ten seconds before the protect light went red then green keeps doing that

You are running more then 1 speaker on a 1 channel amp. You need to verify how many ohms your subs are, and what ohm you are wiring your subs to run at. Your amp is only capable of running at 2 ohms.

Here is a link to figure out how to wire them correctly.

A few drops of water and the amp shuts down?

Yes check that the water hasn't left behind a "Bridge" between some of the soldered connections.. Perhaps on the "Output Devices" Pins/Leads It may be worthwile CAREFULLY cleaning the board with a high quality PCB cleaner & toothbrush... a Solvent, Look at the PCB with a magnifing glass and see if there are inded any "Tracks" left behind when the water dried off. And Yes check all fuses fusable links etc...

it sounds like you pop the power Reg. transistor or one of the Amp. chips instide. Some Amps has a pic fuse inside on the main board its green very small shape like a tear drop with a wire comeing out both ends it would in a socket some times white or black.
