Pfaff Expression 3.0 works great in the shop, but when I get it home the bobbin thread doesn't engage with the needle thread. The needle thread ends up making large irregular loops on the bottom of the fabric.

I have a 2.0 and I had a problem similar to yours, I think. I took it to my shop. I watched her re thread my machine. I was not threading the bobbin properly! After you put the bobbin in, make sure you pull the thread through the catch (not sure of the correct term) so it "clicks." I was just hurrying when threading it.

I got pfaff expression 2 not stitching i have rethreaded changed needle reloaded bobbin cleaned out all of bobbin area

If the thread is not picking up the bobbin thread and you have installed a new needle, then your machine is not in time. Search for sewing machine timing or take it for service.

My Pfaff Expression 2034 sewing machine is suddenly making an almighty mangled mess at the bottom - it doesn't matter how I re-set the tensions. What can be the problem?

Be sure to use a brand new needle.

Remove the upper thread and bobbin. Reinstall the bobbin making sure it is turning the correct direction and threaded properly in the bobbin case.

RAISE the presser foot and rethread the top thread. Confirm the thread pathway is correct.

Most often, knots (thread nests) occur under the fabric because the machine is misthreaded or the thread is not seated completely in the tension disk.

Pfaff 2046 tension problems, needle breaks

Needle breaks
1.the needle is damaged
2.the needle is not correctly inserted
3.wrong size needle for the fabric
4.the wrong foot is attached
5.the needle clamp screw is loose
6. Top tension is too tight--loosen off one letter or number till the stitch
looks normal
7.make sure that every thread guide is used when winding the
bobbin,, so that the bobbin will wind tightly, if this doesn't help,,
then it's possible that the bobbin winder needs adjustment,, it needs
to be taken to a sewing machine shop

Message remove thread jam under the stitch plate keeps appearing! It's clean!

After cleaning out the bobbin area, re-threading the top thread, turning my Pfaff 4.2 off and on it still said " remove thread jam under the the stitch plate". I pushed the "ok" button and it started working again.
Keeping my fingers crossed.

Pfaff select 1540 bobbin thread jam

if there is a thread in the hook area try taking a pair of needle nose
pliers to try & get the thread out, if that doesn't work then you might
think about taking the machine to a sewing machine shop to have the
machine checked since the needle will not go up & down & handwheel
won't move

Tension Problem on Pfaff 2034, bobbin loops

Rule of thumb.. Loops on the bottom, problem on the top. Loops on the top, problems on the bottom.

Set your upper tension at 4, and rethread the machine from the top. Just before you thread the needle, but the presser foot down. If the thread pulls right thru easily, then the thread is not thru the tension wheel right. Because, if you can't pull the thread thru with the presser foot down, you have it threaded right.
