If upgrading an existing PC to Windows XP from an earlier versionof Windows, Canon recommends a "clean install" to ensure reliableoperation of drivers. If a clean install is not possible, it isessential that drivers for your existing Canon Hardware are UNINSTALLEDprior to upgrading to Windows XP.
