Please note that all data will be deleted from the LG Revolution as a result of this procedure. This process may or may not delete data stored on the microSD card. We recommend backing up all of your personal data before proceeding.First, try this:

  1. From the main home screen, tap menu
  2. Tap Settings, then Privacy
  3. Tap Factory data reset
  4. Tap Reset phone
  5. Enter your password if required, then tap Erase everything to confirm
If that doesn't work, or if your phone is frozen:
  1. Turn the power off. If your LG Revolution is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
  2. Hold the Home and Volume Down button
  3. Press and hold the Power button until the device turns on
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your device
All data including third-party applications will be deleted from the LG Revolution. Once the wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory fresh state.

Your Welcome :D

How do you hard boot into recovery mode, volume down and power then release both and press again on lg screan dont do it both ways only factory reset

Do not forget to backup your phone’s data before doing a factory data reset. Here’s our guide.

Performing a Factory data reset restores your device to the original factory settings as it comes out of the box. It also deletes the data like installed apps, contacts, messages, images, etc. present on the internal storage. It does not, however, affect any data stored on the external SD card. Now here is how you can hard reset your LG G2/G3 from device Settings:

Tap the Menu key from Homescreen.
Select System settings> General.
Now scroll to PERSONAL.
Select Backup & reset option.
Tap Factory data reset> Reset phone.
Select Erase everything.
When the warning window prompts, tap OK.
Hard Reset LG G2 with Hardware Keys
If you unable to perform a factory data reset on your LG G2/G3 using the device settings for some reasons, you can try the hardware key method. Just follow the steps given below:

Turn off your LG G2/G3.
Now press and hold the Power + Volume down buttons simultaneously for about 8 seconds.
When the LG Logo appears, release and then immediately re-hold the Power button.
Release the Power key as soon as you see the ‘FACTORY HARD RESET’ screen.
Press the Power key to reset your device.
Press the Power key again to confirm factory data reset.
Wait till reset is done.
Boot LG G3 /G2 into Safe Mode
To fix an issue caused by a 3rd-party app, you can boot your LG G3/G2 into Safe mode and delete the suspect app. You can turn on Safe mode by following these steps:

Non boot

Did it have an OS previously, or is this a new netbook. Also, is their any crackling sound when booting? If there is a crackling, it's possible the hard drive crashed. Without a hard drive, it wouldn't be able to boot the OS.

First try a soft boot by with the power on remove the battery then replace same and power up if these dosent work youll have to do what is called a hard boot hold all the buttons on the phone down at the same time this should bring up the icon for factory reboot(beware you will lose any apps you have downloaded onto the phone even those youve purchased.) then press the icon and it should bring your phone back to the state it was when you first got it.

My LG laptop keyboard was stepped on after which i tried to restart but has refused to com on. after the initial LG logo, instead of opening windows it will show a black screen with the product...

Hi there! Welcome to FixYa! Boot Failure error is generally an error saying that it cannot find Windows on the hard drive. More likely that the hard drive is already broken during the incident or the cable that connects your hard drive was disconnected. You can check if hard drive is still detected by going into BIOS (usually you need to press F2 to launch it). if its not there, then its either the cable is disconnected or the hard drive is broken.
