No, not router as we were traveling. I was in the middle of a search when it shut down. All three icons on tool bar indicated they were closed, but I cannot turn the wireless assistant one on either. Thanks for the try. Appreciated.

You need to determine whether it's your router thats the problem, either overheating or signal lose because of where it's situated, or whether it's your wireless network card losing connection because of a faulty driver programme or the wireless hardware being faulty itself. If you are using the software that came with the wifi card, then try using windows zero wireless configuration instead.

How do I Connect an iPhone to an HP printer without WiFi/Wireless?

Wi-Fi let's you connect devices Hassle-free without worrying about the wires and cables but sometimes Wi-Fi doesn't work and you need the prints in that case here's how to connect iPhone to HP printer without Wi-Fi. You would require a USB Cable for this and install the iPhone HP Printer app. Use the printer setup assistant to connect the printer to the Wi-Fi and then you can disconnect the USB cable. The printer should remain connected to the Wi-Fi. This would ensure that your devices have the internet without Wi-Fi. https://connectmyprinter.com/how-can-i-print-from-iphone-to-hp-printer/

Is it possible to connect a standard DSL modem - without Wi-Fi (with 1 Ethernet port) and a DSL modem - Wi-Fi (with 4 Ethernet port) to broadcast Wi-Fi singles

Does the non wifi modem give out DHCP addresses?
Can the wifi modem be set up to receive it's IP address from DHCP?
If the answer to both these questions is Yes then that's what to do as a first step. Make sure the wifi modem DHCP service is disabled as it must NOT give out DHCP addresses.
Connect the ethernet port of the non wifi modem to one of the LAN ports of the wifi modem and NOT the DSL/WAN port. The wifi modem is not participating in any DSL connectivity at all so it's DSL light will remain off. The non wifi modem is doing the DSL duty so it's DSL light should be correctly illuminated.

Why did the FBI show up in my wi fi

Sometimes people put odd names in as their wi-fi access point identifier. I personally use 'POLICE' and it scares people away from hacking my wifi.
Anyone can give ANY name to their Access Point / Hub to Broadcast.

What is wifi

Hi,
Wireless local area network is a local area network that uses high frequency radio signals to transmit and receive data over distances of a few hundred feet, uses ethernet protocol.

In simple word allow you to surf internet without any internet cable connection, Wi-Fi enabled device such as a personal computer, video game console, smartphone or digital audio player can connect to the Internet when within range of a wireless network connected to the Internet. The coverage of one or more (interconnected) access points called hotspots, can comprise an area as small as a few rooms or as large as many square miles. Coverage in the larger area may depend on a group of access points with overlapping coverage.

In addition to private use in homes and offices, Wi-Fi can provide public access at Wi-Fi hotspots provided either free-of-charge or to subscribers to various commercial services. Organizations and businesses - such as those running airports, hotels and restaurants - often provide free-use hotspots to attract or assist clients. Enthusiasts or authorities who wish to provide services or even to promote business in selected areas sometimes provide free Wi-Fi access.

Thanks....!!!

What is wi fi whats does it do

Hi,

Wi-Fi stands for wireless fidelity. The term Wi-Fi, which is alternatively pushed by the Wi-Fi Alliance, a trade group that pioneered commercialization of the technology. Wi-Fi is mostly about connecting to the Internet without physically attaching your computer to anything. Mostly it's about using laptop computers.

A Wi-Fi enabled device such as a personal computer, video game console, mobile phone, MP3 player or personal digital assistant can connect to the Internet when within range of a wireless network connected to the Internet. The coverage of one or more (interconnected) access points — called a hotspot — can comprise an area as small as a few rooms or as large as many square miles. Coverage in the larger area may depend on a group of access points with overlapping coverage. Wi-Fi technology has been used in wireless mesh networks, for example, in London.

Routers that incorporate a digital subscriber line modem or a cable modem and a Wi-Fi access point, often set up in homes and other premises, can provide Internet-access and internetworking to all devices connected (wirelessly or by cable) to them. One can also connect Wi-Fi devices in ad-hoc mode for client-to-client connections without a router. Wi-Fi also enables places that would traditionally not have network access to connect, for example bathrooms, kitchens and garden sheds.

Good luck and have a nice day.
rating the solution is highly appreciated.

How do i connect to mcdonolds free wifi? what do i need?

To access the Wi-Fi services in a restaurant, you need a Wi-Fi enabled device, such as a laptop or PDA. If you are unsure whether your laptop or PDA is Wi-Fi enabled, click here to determine what hardware is required.

Our local service providers provide high-quality Wi-Fi service through several convenient connection options: on-line credit card payment, subscriptions, prepaid cards, or (sometimes) promotional coupons. If you have questions or need technical help, the Wi-Fi provider's customer support number should be handy in the restaurant.

Please note that currently there are no roaming capabilities between different countries, neither for customers nor McDonald's employees. You will have to connect separately with the respective Wi-Fi service provider.

Enjoy surfing and working in your local McDonald's!
