I have the Whirlpool Quiet (??) Partner II. My

I have the Whirlpool Quiet (??) Partner II. My top rack does not come clean at all (even if I rinse them off before I wash them, they come out dirtier). Does the pump die on these? I've only had it for 1 1/2 years. It's model #DU1145XTPBA. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

I have the same exact problem, and my dishwasher is only 4 years old. Bottom rack is mostly clean, but the top rack is horrible.

Have this same problem with my Whirlpool DU1145XTBA. Found out that when you start the unit, it fills with water. If the water does not rise above the filter mesh in the bottom center of the unit then the pump doesn't have enough water to supply pressure to the upper sprayer. Had to replace the Flow Meter. It tells the unit how much water to supply to the unit.

Make sure the center loading is not obstructing the water jet to the top shelf. Top shelf is only for glasses and saucers , use Jet-Dry .Pre rinse and clean bottom pan strainer from dirt debris.

the sprayer is clogged with ****. I had the exact same problem. my mother-in-law gave me of some 80 year old man that has fixed appliances all his life. Ten minuets after he got to the house it was fixed. cost $70.00. He just took a couple things apart dumped out the **** inside the parts and put it back together. Hope this helps.

Quiet partner 1 top rack does not get clean at all

Hi,

I would suspect you have debris in the pump that is causing a pressure drop so the water is not spraying well in the upper arm.

Try this procedure to clean out the sump. Let me know if it helps.

I have a whirlpool quiet partner II dishwasher. There is a gritty residue on the dishes in the top rack and on some of the silverware. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

MAKE SURE THE UPPER WASHER ARM IS NOT CLOGGED, SOMETIMES FROM DETERGENT BUILD UP IF YOU'RE USING POWDER DETERGENT. CHECK ALSO FROM THE BOTTOM IS THERE'S ANY DEBRIS THAT MAY PREVENT THE WATER GETTING TO THE UPPER WASHER ARM

To solve white, gritty deposits on the upper rack, take the upper arm out. You cannot pry it open but using whatever skinny object you have to poke in the holes, banging the arm gently, lots of chunky white deposits can be shaken out. Rinse arm, replace and we're back in business. For us, this will probably be repeated every three years, but it beats replacing the arm which costs $45--another option to solve this problem.

In my experience, you probably have a clog in the spray arm/arms for the top rack. Take the arm(s) out and see if the holes in them are clogged. Rice, plastic wrappers, and glass from dishes that broke in there are the most common culprits I've seen.
