Re: printer Lexmark T630
The error message is normally caused by either plugging accessories into the rip controller board or the engine board. In some models the board may be conbined. Or invalid or illegal commands sent from the printer. Try upgrading the firmware first. If that does not work you you may have a bad board.
Hope this helps

Lexmark T630 241 paper jam message- Indicates a paper jam from the pull down manual feed tray.
If you check to make sure and small fragments of paper are not hindering the operation of the switch. The switch is located on the left side of the tray and will be spring loaded. The switch should move freely without binding. Make sure no toner or dust is on the optical sensor assembly. See Diagram for location.
If the switch seems OK and the printer still reports an error, the printer will require professional care.
the printer is telling you that the tray is reporting the wrong size paper. print the network menu from tray 2 if it prints out smaller than the page it will be reporting smaller than letter. if the bottom line of the outline is missing its reporting legal size paper. if you are running lettersize paper in the tray check on the left side of the tray half way down the drawer you will see a plastic snap in plate with 3 fingers the bottom 2 should be sticking out for letter size paper. you only have to be one of the small adjust teeth off to make the third finger stick out and report the wrong size paper this is a very common issue. look at the metal fingers that stick out of the frame of the options tray to make sure they are uniform and straight. if the fingers are set right and not damaged then the logic board in the tray assembly will have to be replaced
let me guess it stops about the 64mb range in the control panel? how did i do? any way change the network card static charges mess with the nvram chips. t3xx series are lexmarks that wont boot if the network card is not recognize. this should solve your problem. surge protector are always a goog idea on electronics have a great one
Try to unplug the interface cable from the computer and power up the machine. It is likely the RIP card aka the controller card. There are two types of controllers for this printer, non-network and network. Here are links to where you can purchase them: Non-network Network
i take it that the printer does not go to ready? does you printer stop with 64mb in the display? if it does change the network card. if this isnt the problem some more info would be great
The message indicates that the laser scanning head is defective. Lexmark calls it a printhead. Unless you want to spend a lot of money, it may not be worth fixing. A new part runs over a hundred dollars.
