Estes Astrovision Rocket Video Problems

I recently launched my Estes Astrovision Rocket and used it to take pictures. I found that the picture mode worked perfectly, however, the video mode did not. I set my rocket to video mode and launched it and downloaded the video to my computer. Im positive it was a video that was taken because when it was downloaded, the upper left hand corner said AVI, indicating it was a video. I read the directions which said to view a video, right click on the image. That's exactly what I did but the video did not play. Instead, it just made the still image larger. I'm wondering if I bought a rocket with a faulty video mode or i'm just doing something wrong. I've already tried left clicking on image which also did not work. I also have attempted to take a number of other videos with the rocket yet each time I have the same problem.

I'm having the same problem. I emailed Este, but it will take them 4-5 days to get back to me. :(

You have to save it by clicking on the diskette icon. It will say it's saving as file type "jpg" but it actually strings them all together in an avi file. Then use media player or similar to view AVI.

Fuji finepix S5600 won't take pictures

A possible solution could be found in the menu of the camera. Scroll through the menu and look for any dropdown menu that deals with mode and see if the correct mode is selected.

I have no instructions for use

It operates using baking soda and vinegar: simply use the cap on the rocket to scoop baking soda into the rocket; add vinegar, set up launcher and launch away!

I have a small Moon Mutt rocket I bought for my kids. It takes Estes fuels, 1/23-t something and I am certain I put it together properly but the fuels would not ignite. The detonator showed ready and...

Hi There,

This is essentially a solid fuel rocket.

The launch system consists of continuity check to insure the circuit exists once the the safety key is inserted, the the fire button which releases the full voltage/amperage.

If the light is coming on, that leaves power. If you aren't using a cart battery you need phototflash or similar type batteries that are capable of sending a quick burst of energy.

You need to test the igniters on their own away from the rocket until this is resolved. The igniters should be made to work consistently before trying with a live engine.

Power is where you need to focus.

Have Samsung HLN567W and recently started having

Projection TV sets have two very common problems listed below.

Problem #1) Convergence

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer, Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.
You can get more information and a DIY convergenece repair kit with instructions from the link below.

Here are some of the most common problems with these sets...

*Screen Looks 3-D
*Colors wont align
*Screen may look distorted or warped
*No Audio/Video - TV Shuts down - May also make a constant chirping sound

Problem #2 - Another common problem is dull or washed out video.

Your set may have one or more of the following symptoms....

*Dull looking picture
*White looking picture
*Halos around objects
*Red/Orange looking picture

When in Camera mode I focus and then prepare to take the picture but the as soon as I press the switch to take the picture the LG routinely switches from Camera mode to the Video mode. Why? I cant see

Well, this is the intended function of the button unfortunately.

If you press and hold down the camera button, it toggles between camera and video.
However I'm sure you have noticed that on occasion, if you don't hold the button down long enough, no picture is taken.

It turns out to be something you just have to get used to. There is like a 2 second delay on the toggle so just don't hold it down that long. It is hard to get used to if you are used to a red eye removable flash or a slow camera button as found on many new cameras.

Here is a tip though, after you take the picture to quickly take another picture, you can fast save the photo by pressing the camera button again instead of messing with the touch screen.

My estes Astrovision rocket will not seem to take pictures/videos

You have to make sure that you don't turn the power off from the time you record to the time you download onto the computer. If you turn it off, it automatically deletes what you recorded.

LCD blank & No picture taken

This appears to be a well known CCD problem, which Nikon acknowledges only for the COOLPIX 3100, 5700 and SQ models. Nikon denies the CCD problems on the 5400 are related, even though a Google search for this problem returns numerous results which claim the same defective Sony CCD sensor was used in the 5400 as was used in the 3100, 5700, and SQ models. Lines and circles across all of my pictures

I'm not sure if you still look here or you've already fixed your problem but it has to do with your ram on your computer. I had this problem before. I had a really old Fuji camera but upgraded to the e550 a while ago and these weird grainy lines would still be in my pictures. At first I thought there was something wrong with the camera but after testing it on my brother/mom/dad's computer they pictures came out perfect. I found out it was my ram. Since I was using the onboard video card and it was sharing my ram. One of my cards was corrupted. So if you have more than one ram card try eahc one by itself and see if the problem persists. Hope this helps anyone out there who has this problem.
