Try to go to the driver utility, you'll find it if you right click your printer at the control panel then click properties then click printing preferences then go to maintenance then choose ink cartridge replacement in there you can access the carriage. hope this cud solve your problem thank you!

Hp Officejet 6000 not printing black ink, I have replaced ink cartridges, checked contacts, cleaned print heads, still not working

Try taking out the printhead and let it soak in "window cleaning" solution overnight or for about 8 hours. It should unclog the printhead nozzle. Put it in about half inch of the solution. It always worked for me. Make sure you wipe it dry un the back of the printhead when putting back into the printer.

Print head jam

Check the LCD on your printer control panel or the status monitor on your computer for an error message. If there is an error message, follow the instructions to clear it.

If there is no error message, or if the problem continues:

  1. Open the access door.
  2. Disconnect the power adapter from the back of the printer.
  3. CAUTION: Do not use force on the printhead carriage to move it. Gently move the printhead carriage from side to side to see that it moves freely and there are no obstructions.
  4. Remove any obstructions that may prevent the printhead carriage and ink cartridges from moving to the center position.
  5. Close the access door.
  6. Connect the power adapter to the printer.
  7. Remove the ink cartridges from the printhead.
  8. Verify that the labels on the ink cartridges are intact, and that the cartridges are not damaged.
  9. firmly until you hear it click into position.

This problem is usually due to a print head that needs to be replaced
I have provided the information that you will need ok

This document provides information on how to replace a printhead or ink cartridge.A printhead may need replacing when print quality issues cannot be resolved by cleaning the printheads or a front-panel display message indicates a printhead needs to be replaced. An ink cartridge needs replacing when a front-panel display message indicates either:

HP L7590 black ink printing poorly even with new HP cartridge

I have had the same problem It is the print head not the cartridge If your printer is still under warranty have the printhead(s) replaced if not Open the unit where the print heads are and hold the OK button for 5 seconds. The Print head carriage will move to the left

Carefully remove the KY (Black & Yellow) Print head with a cotton swab and alcohol clean the contacts and replace the printhead. If this does not work remove the printhead and then with a spray bottle spray the nozzle area on the bottom (DO NOT TOUCH THE NOZZLES AS THEY WILL BE DESTROYED) HP techs have told me this will void any warranty so act accordingly I use a printhead cleaning solution available from most any online ink supplier

Replace the printhead after it has dried out (less than a minute). The printer will then go through an alignment cycle and should print I had to do this several times before the print head performed as it should

Printhead problem (black/yellow) on HP L7780

When you removed the paper it's possible your damaged it and that's why the message is not going away. Did you try to put the cartridge back in to make sure it had not come out of position and just remove the power cord for a minute then plugging it back it.

Here are the steps to make sure you properly change the cartridges and the heads...

Install the ink cartridges and printheads Step one: Install the ink cartridges All four ink cartridges must be correctly installed for the HP All-in-One to work. Follow the steps below to Install cartridges:
  1. Open the ink cartridge cover.
  2. Remove each ink cartridge from its package.
  3. Align each ink cartridge with its color-coded slot and then insert the ink cartridge into the slot. To ensure proper contact, press down firmly on the cartridges until they snap into place.
  4. Close the ink cartridge cover.
Figure 1: Installing cartridges c00841893.gif 1 - Open the ink cartridge cover. 2 - Remove the ink cartridges from the packages. 3 - Install the ink cartridges. 4 - Close the ink cartridge cover. Step two: Install the printheads Follow the steps below to install the printheads.
  1. Open the top cover of the printer. Figure 2: Open the top cover c00848391.gif
  2. If the carriage does not move to the left automatically, press and hold the Resume button (c00847980.gif ) for three seconds. Wait for the carriage to stop moving.
  3. Remove the cardboard cover from the printhead carriage. Figure 3: Remove the cardboard cover c00848392.gif
  4. Lift the printhead latch. Figure 4: Lift the printhead latch c00848393.gif
  5. Before installing a printhead, shake the printhead up and down at least six times while the printhead is still in its packaging. Figure 5: Shake the printhead while it is still in its packaging c00847983.gif
  6. Remove the new printhead from its package, and then remove its orange protective caps. CAUTION: Do not shake printheads after the caps are removed. Figure 6: Remove the printhead from its packaging, then remove the orange caps from the printhead c00847984.gif
  7. Insert the printhead into its color-coded slot. The label on the printhead must match the label on the printhead latch. Press down firmly on the printhead to ensure proper contact. Figure 7: Insert the printheads in the correct color-coded slots c00847985.gif
  8. Pull the printhead latch all the way forward, and then press down to ensure that the latch is properly engaged. You might have to apply some pressure to engage the latch. Figure 8: Close the latch c00848394.gif
  9. Close the top cover. Figure 9: Close the top cover c00847987.gif
Step three: Align the print heads Whenever you insert or replace a printhead, the printer automatically aligns the printheads to ensure the best print quality. If the printer does not print the alignment page automatically, start the alignment process manually. To start the alignment process manually:
  1. Press the Setup button on the control panel Setup and the number 6 on the keypad or scroll to Tools .
  2. Press 4 on the keypad or scroll to Align Printer . The alignment process starts.

Well, here is the proper way of fixing or troubleshooting that paper jam error in your printer

Open the printer access door and remove both of the ink cartridge, then remove also the printhead, after that close the printer access door, without those parts. Then it will show a message in the printer screen, "Printhead is missing or has come loose" or "Printhead Not Detected" Install the printhead, just the printhead without the ink cartridges. After that close the printer access door. Then it will show you a message"Ink cartridges is not installed, install ink cartridges". then open again the printer access door, then install the black ink cartridge without the color ink cartridge. then close the printer access door, then message must be " Color ink cartridge is not installed, install color ink cartridge" then install the color ink cartridge." the message must be,"New printhead is detected calibration require, load paper and press start"

Thats the way of overiding the paper jam error message of your kodak all in one printer
hope this will help you guys
