Phone only rings twice how do i set more rings

go to menu , select setting s , ring tiome ans increase it

It's only set to ring twice. You can change the settings.

With the phone in standby mode, press the menu/clock key three times.
You hear "Ring time" and the current ring time, and it is displayed on the main base. Then you hear the guidance for setting the ring time.

Press the volume/select-up-down until the desired setting appears.

Press the set key.

try to change your profiles settings on your phone .

i would check your profiles. usually the default setting for the load profile is for it to vibrate twice and then ring, so that usually only gave you two rings to answer the phone after it vibrated twice. make sure that within your profile setting that you have it to ring with a tone, and make sure you have a volume selected. i would also use blackberry desktop manager and perform a back up or sync of your blackberry, and then perform a wipe handheld. the wipe hand held feature is in your options---security---general settings---and then press your options button (right of the trackball) and select wipe hand held. you will type the word blackberry and then it will wipe the handset. after it resets try the volume before you restore it, if you still don't have volume your speaker is bad.

The number of rings is set on the base.

then increase the ringing time to continuos ringimg in ringing tone settings

some phones have switches on the base unit, sometimes on the back or bottom.  some phones you need to use the set up procedures to set this feature.

I need to change how many rings it takes my system to answer . It is set for attendant , I need it to answer after 5 rings . I need this changed because I now have a answering service that is set up though my phone provider verizon to call forward after 4 rings Lucent partner 18d

you have to set the ringing.

feat 00
left intercom twice
right intercom once
enter ext number
touch the lines util they display how you want them to ring
feat 00 when done.


To set the feature to p/u a ringing call
feat 00
left intercom twice
right intercom once.
press: ** (then press lines in order 1, 2, 3, 4, etc)
then press ** again.
feature 00

repeat both for all extensions.
