You might have a broken disoplay though (16x8 is the dimension of you machine the display)

I am happy that u told the truth that what happen...often all screens are very delicate...so more times u drop it down...the pixels will keep on separting frm each other...so more times it fell down frm u r hand...the pixels keeps on separting...wch nw it s permanent...it even happens if it falls on the water...does it fell on the water anytym??so no prb abt the arthimetic operations...al that wil be proper for calculations...so dont worry for calculations...alll that will be proper!!!!

does it look something like the example I gave? Anyways, I don't think that it can be fixed. and you can either:
A.) have the screen fixed (approx. $100)
B.) buy a new calculator (approx. $85)
( the monetary figures are approxamate and should not be taken literally, the $85 is at least what I last saw one for @ a Wal-Mart)

Well, this might not be right, but check the Brightness. Hit 2nd, then the down arrow. repeat this a few times. see if that works.
