Today I was cleaning the screen of my Sony KV-32S26 when my girlfriend accidently turned it on. Although she turned it right off (even before the screen came on) I felt a shock. When I did turn it on after finishing my cleaning the screen is now badly messed up. Not only are the colors on the screen a little off, but any text overlays on the screen now run horizontally on the screen. Any ideas?

1) You must test the a) fuse b) c.breaker inside c) diode, d) rectifier e) transformer f) filter. g) IC. regulator voltage and test it. If the problem persist you must go to the horizontal problem by lack of RASTER, now you test the transistor horizontal power, flyback. If you have some experience with the electronic you can try. If do not, better go to the repair shop Tv. Since you can have a electric shock by H.Voltage discharge. God bless you

I regret to tell you that he is probably right. The problem is the trinitron picture tube. Sony advertised it with such high esteem for years and wouldn't doubt that they would do that. The phospher is burned out in the tube and the guns (red, green and blue) are weak and the focus electrobes in the tube are also weak although Sony made it a lot different that any other tube requiring extra circuitry. There is no fix for this. If you could bypass the blacking out you would still have the bad out of focus picture problem
