Hi. i was register my garmin 530 but it says in the website''no free space'' so i bought an SD card. when i inserted my device, it still says that ''no free space at G:/Garmin'' so i put the files at G:/ at move it to H:/ (sd card) [meaning files at G:/ was deleted] when i tried to register again, the computer can not read G:/ but when i inserted the SD card alone, the computer can read it. when i open my Garmin c530, it already says ''No detailed maps found that supporting routing. The Streetpilot cannot be used withou them.'' so i figured out that i deleted the device's internal memory. the question is how do i restore them??? i tried everything but still it doesnt work. help me please. thank you

Go to Garmin and download and install Garmin Express, Plug your GPS into your PC. The GPS should power on and Garmin Express should identify it and tell you of any updates. This would allow your to install new maps. You did not delete your internal memory, you deleted your internal maps. Moving the maps from internal to external memory cannot be done on your PC and have them work. There is no way to just "reset" the PIN. If you don't have the correct PIN, you must take the unit to the location at which the PIN was set. Your only other option is to return the unit to Garmin.

Question: What should I do if my Garmin nuvi / zumo displays the message “No Detailed Maps That Support Autorouting.”?
Answer: Please follow these steps to troubleshoot the error message:
Checking the unit:

  1. Hold your finger down on the screen until the message “No Detailed Maps That Support Autorouting” disappears.
  2. If you get a locked maps message following this error please remove any SD cards in the device and skip down to the instructions for “Getting your unlock codes”.If you did not get a locked maps message then please select tools>settings>map>mapinfo button.
  3. Check the box next to the mapping product City Navigator and you should no longer get the “No Detailed Maps That Support Autorouting” message.

MY GARMIN NUVI 200W NOT WRONG AND SAY NODETAILED MAPS FOUND THAT SUPPORT ROUTING. THE NUVI CANNT BE USED WITHOUT THEM

Guys and or ladies... I know that you have to create a folder named "GARMIN" in the sd card so the maps can be recognize. Maybe this solves your problem. Let me know if it works.

Run this program and then connect the gps, it will then show what updates are available (not maps)

I am trying to update my garmin 255w and not getting anywhere. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. Help
To update the maps you connect the satnav to your computer. If you haven't registered your satnav already you need to do so first. Go to www.garmin.com. Select your country and then click on myGarmin. If your satnav is already registered skip to the next paragraph. If it's not registered click on Register Your Garmin Product. When registering you'll be asked to create a username and password. Write them down and keep them safe as you'll need them anytime you update your maps.

When you have registered your satnav, or if it's already registered, Click on myGarmin, enter your username and password and log in. Click on myMaps. If there's a map update available it will say so beside the map name. Click on Get Update and follow the prompts.

To update the software, connect your satnav to your computer, download and install webupdater from http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=999-99999-27 if you haven't already done so. When it's installed it will search for updates. Follow the prompts.
