does not pick up disc not aligned properly
Well, After most of the guys told me it was one of the carousel photo
eyes I started taking the thing apart. After cleaning the eyes and
reassembling the unit it did the same thing. While observing the motion
of the carousel I noticed that the movement was jerky, not smooth like
it was originally. I started to look at the drive motor and related
gearing. I took the belt off and moved the motor and the drive gearing
independently looking for stiff movement. I found particles in the
grease , grit sized pieces of white stuff in between the teeth on the
belt. Cleaned the belt and related gears and belt pulleys and LOW AND
BEHOLD smooth movement of the carousel and no more loading problem. The
jerky movement of the carousel did not agree with the locating
electronics for the carousel. Tim
