My Sanyo PLC-XU47 Multimedia Projector has developed a problem where the image it projects has a permanent pink tint. This occurs when a computer is attached, but is not present when the projector is displaying its 'idle' screen before a computer is attached. The lamp replace warning light has not come on so it does not appear to be a problem with the lamp bulb. Can anyone please help?
SOURCE: Permanent Coloured tint
When the image turns pink, we find that replacing the cable between the projector and the lap top fixes the problem.

I have a PLC-XU48 and there is blue tint that covers about 1/2 of the screen. When the screen is showing black I can still see an obvious blue tint. I have read that a lamp change may not fix this. Any Ideas?
I also have the Sanyo PLC-XU48 and just swapped out three hundred bucks worth of replacement lamp to find this isn't an unknown problem.
I have an Epson Powerlite 745c which shows a pink tint as if the red color had been turned up and the blue and green left down, but when i went to the color adjustments it did not match what i was seeing so there is an obvious problem with either the lamp or the lens's. Does anyone know a solution to this pink tint besides replacing the lamp??? I'd rather not have to go buy a new lamp when the one i have still works. I was able to adjust the color manually so that the pinkish color sort of went away and the blue stood out more, but this still didn't look at full quality as it is supposed to. Any help or suggestions would be great.
Thanks.
