When I use the printer, the SpeedStream disconnects and I have to reset it. It worked for a year. I checked the connections. Pulled out all cords and reinserted them. Could it be the electricity in the den---looks like I get a surge on the computer screen---it dims and then brightens.
Are you using a USB cable to connect your modem ? Are you using a USB cable to connect your printer ? If you are using a USB cable to connect your modem, try using an ethernet cable and your LAN card instead. It will work better and you won't need modem drivers to make it work. You do however have to have a LAN card or built-in LAN adapter. As long as you have one of those 2, the best way to hook up your modem would be by using the ethernet jack on the modem straight into your LAN card/adapter. If you are not using USB to connect your modem then please send me your printer model and how it's hooked up and I will help you figure it out. Hope this helps.
