SOURCE: have a baumatic ceramic hob displayin letter 'L'

Got the same problem, and remembered I've kept the manual book
L means locked. I dont know how Ive managed to do this as well

Anyway it says:

Cancelling the key lock
After switching ON the control the child safety feature can be deactivated. Here it is necessary to simultaneously operate the front right cooking-zone-select-key and the MINUS-key and then operate the MINUS-key alone. If all steps hae been carried out in the right order within 10seconds the key lock gets cancelled and the control is OFF. Otherwise the input will be considered incomplete, the control remains locked and switches-OFF after 20 seconds.

After a renewed switching-ON/OFF key all displays show 0", the display dots are blinking and the control is ready for ooking. If a cooking zone is "hot", "H" will be displayed instead of the static 0".

Followed their instructions & still not worked. ,I am still confused and baffled after these instructions........................

Lamona 1851 Induction Hob - squeaking noise

It may be the alarm that is telling you that the cook pan is not making a good connection to the hob. Does it do it with all pots? Stainless steel, copper sandwich with ground bottoms are best. Mine are Lagostina. At work, we had a Wok Station and when we used a standard pan, it would beep it you turned it up too high. Not problem with a stainless steel wok.

Howden's Joinery are not the maker, but the exclusive distributer. Contact them and ask.

Hi I have lamona ceramic hob. One of the control knob is loose and can't be fitted ....when noticed the upright parts which goes inside control knob has gone down a little bit.... What should I do ?????

Go to the Howdens Joinery Company website and find your local depot. Once there, inquire about Lamona Ceramic Hob parts. Sorry, I'm in the USA and really can't be of much help. Good luck.

Hi I have a Samsung ceramic hob that when I have the oven on and cooking veg in saucepans it cuts out randomly displaying SE flashing I'm guessing its overheating but how can I fix this ? It makes

An SE error message on the display of a Samsung ceramic hob means the control panel sensor has been on for too long.
There are a few reasons why the sensor could be saying it's been on for too long:
  • Touching the key area for more than 10 seconds.
  • Leaving a wet cloth on the touch key area.
  • Spilling a liquid on the key area.
  • By touching 2 or more keys together. All of these can be fixed by turning the hob power off at the wall, then back on again.
