no if the fuel pump is failing it wont start. what about fuel filter ? what you can do is find a shop with a scope and they can check the fuel pump on it and look at the wave pattern and can tell you good or bad. but when it happens and you cant hear it it is time to check it properly before it leaves you stranded.
I had this same problem during hurricane ike. I thought that it was because the cell towers were down or something, but I eventually had to take it to the sprint store because nothing was working. I've had to get 2 replacement phones since then, so..good luck!
most likely fuse, main a/c filter, shorted bridge-diodes. this occurs often when surges of up to 220v line is run into house. we've had alot here in south texas after HURRICANE IKE. good-luck mch
pramac bought them out i just order parts today oct-15-08 call1-800-445-1805 took me awhile to get a hold of someone but she seemed to know what was going on. my guess is that the printed curciut board in the back of the generater head is bad i have had to change alot of these out.
the only thing i can think of is the power supply got fried that is the most common problem when it comes to the pc not powering on. Now hopefully that is all that it fried and not the motherboard my suggestion is to take to local pc repair shop and have them change your power supply or you could put it in if you familiar with how the machine is wired.
