My Xbox (not 360 or live) Says i have problem number 12

Step 4 Once you've completed the process of joining Xbox 360 LIVE, they will send you a confirmation email confirming your membership. Now you can log on to Xbox 360 LIVE and start doing this like customizing your avatar and playing online multi-player games.

First, make sure you recieved the offer of 12 months of free Live subscription. Check your order emails for details. Look for any kind of proof that you did recieve that offer. I personally think you must have mis-read that you are recieving that offer. 12 months of subscription is a lot. I doubt Microsoft will give it for free. But, if you have any proof of it you can claim it. If you used coupon codes keep note them down for the next step.

After you do, contact XBOX 360 customer support immediately. These are the numbers:

Explain them what happened, they will need information like your Gamertag, name, address, telephone number and answer to your secret question. They might also need the details of your payment to make sure you recieved the offer and your XBOX's serial number. You will need to be in front of your console for troubleshooting. Guys - here's the deal. doesn't matter what your parental settings are. If you used your birthday day when creating your xbox live gamer profile, which can't be changed even by microsoft xbox live support, and your under 18, then your out of luck. Call xbox live supports 800 number and explain the problem. you will eventually talk to a supervisor and they will offer a 6 month free subscription to xbox live which you use to create a new profile (with an adults date of birth). You can use your old profile for other game until it runs out, then let it expire.

if its a microsoft product then the webcam you have should work. i have no problem using the same style webcam from my Xbox 360 on my Dell Desktop computer.

for some reason i cant connect to live, it says that my mtu has failed. any surgesstions how i solve this??

The xbox live board is down,so if you pass all tests except the xbox live one,this is the problem.I rang them and they said over 50% of users are having this problem.Its because so many people went on it over Christmas and the system got overloaded.They said they're working on it and it should be up and running in a week or two. ~~PS~~ I rang on the 12-1-08 so it should be up by the 20th,its not your fault,the servers down.
