Question about Canon Office Equipment & Supplies
Canon imageclass prints out vertical black line down side of copy only when using autofeed. When feeding manually, there is no line.
Clean the small piece of glass on the flat bed. Should be on the left side of the flat bed when you lift the doc feeder.

My Canon Imageclass D861 had a black vertical line when i used the autofeeder, but when i manually feed it, there is no line. I've been trying to fix this problem searching the internet for weeks. I haven't been able to use the autofeeder for a month. I tried cleaning the rollers, even unscrewing stuff trying to clean everything. I wiped down the glass, but still there was that vertical line that frustrates me. When i finally read 20YrsCompExp's solution, I gave that glass another try. I cleaned the left side of the glass at the top and bottom corners and I've seen a little piece of whiteout tape that was accidently stuck on the glass. I scratched it out and tried to find every little pieces of anything that was stuck on the glass. So basically i just cleaned the glass up and down left to right spotless. Thank you 20YrsCompExp for that tip =]
