you must turn one of ,one driver will be for Ethernet the other for wifi.right hand side connect icon right click go to network and sharing ,left hand side up top change adapter choose the one you want.as the the yellow marks its telling those drivers are missing.you need either to download them or look for your driver or motherboard disc as the drivers will be on there.

You can download the LAN and device drivers from Dell WEB site,the support download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop,better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on thebottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Taglabel is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages,the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where thespecific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you selectthe Windows of the drivers for your Windows operating system. you need to find out which dell you have, then go to support.dell.com and find your specific driver set. you want the ones labeled "sound" or "audio"

Computer says code 43 for hard drive converter by sabrent.

That is usually an error code related to the wrong drivers. Go to device manager in windows to see what it says. If there is something on the device list showing an error you need to go here and download the drivers. https://www.sabrent.com/downloads/

try this;

1.using different usb inputs on your pc desk top
2.update drivers on both your desk top and laptop
3.using a different usb cable

if it works fine on your friends computer most likely its not the mic

go and reinstall ur audio driver to solve ur problem or get ur Xp reinstalled to solve the problem
or it is not a s/w problem its a hardware problem then show it to a professional
