I have a Logitech MX 3100 cordless keyboard and mouse. The mouse works great, but recently the keyboard quit working, will not connect and is not recognized by the software. It's not the batteries, I have tried changing them 2x. Once when I rebooted the computer it worked again, then the next time it stopped working again. Does anyone know any tricks or tips for Logitech cordless keyboards, because this is the second set of keyboard/mice that have done this to me. And I love the Logitech products, when they are working, that is.
The problem with cordles keyboards is that the transmitter/receiver works via usb and sometimes the driver does not have time to load for the system to start leaving it dissabled, the reason for this is whts called IRQ interupt requests. Some usb ports get left to the back of the queue when requesting that they need to start up, so unfortunately this is a common fault and may be sorted by trying the keyboard in different usb ports and moving any other peripheralls to different ones, although you will have to reinstall all the drivers as you will be using different ports, so install the keyboard first and then it may get an IRQ of 1 which means 'start me first'
