In fact suddenly my device stop talking.I cant hear the other side who call me but they can, there is nothing but silent.i just can hear them either by using outer speaker or headset.i changed the inner one but the problem still there!i thought it might be a software prob. so i format it but nothing.can u help me please!
I get a similar problem on occasion, my IMATE JAM loses sound through the external speaker. I'm sure it's something inside but it's not worth sending out for a repair. I've found that simply inserting a set of headphones and then removing a set of headphones, resets the speaker. This leads me to believe that the problem (on my unit) is with the headphone jack, probably from a fall of some sort. The device, on occasion, simply acts as if a headphone is plugged in. Anyhow it's worked five times over the past year, each time the problem has occurred.
Try getting an updated ROM version from imate. I had the same problem with mine. Got the update and it was better. Then I dropped the phone and the speakers connectors bent. Tried to fix it and screwed up the whole speaker. Now I am speakerless. You should check that also and check where you insert your headset if everything's fine.
Hi anyone knows a good repair centre for imate in Mumbai? The one mentioned on the imate support site (Kaizer telecom) does not seem to be operational because there is no reply on their cell phone, landline or email.

do you mean while your talking to a person? if so i cannot help. but if you mean your phone is on silent, samsung tends to make a lot of the silent buttons on their phone the pound button. (#) so if you mean on silent, just hold the pound (#) button down. if that doesn't work try using the bar on the side.
New report: the problem was not caused by HTC Home, after all. It was fring's fault. In fact, I think the 9502 doesn't like VoIP client applications at all, because I have just experienced the same problem (all sounds desappearing from all possible channels, including BT) when trying the age client. So, my advice is: uninstall all VoIP client applications from your device !
I'm now in process of try & error in making the native WM6 VoIP feature work through 3g (since via WiFi it is already working: probably a codec issue)...
