Gets stuck on Convergence menu

Sharp 55R-WP4H When I go to the convergance menu and turn it to on so I can adjust the colors it gets stucks...you can't even back out of the menu. You have to turn off the power. Before this happend it used to be stuck on the convergence screen all the time but no buttons would work, we left the TV unplugged for 2 months and now it works but you can't fix the color. What would cause this? Is it worth fixing and how much would this cost us?

I think i know what you mean. if its the screen where you try to adjust the blue and red crosses, then you should press the "av mode" button, that takes you back to the menu, but i still don't see the adjustments I thought I was making, but I didn't have to turn it off. PEACE.

Pressing AV Mode cancels the adjustments you have just made (per the Operation Manual).. To save the adjustments into memory, press the Personal Preferences "D" button on the remote. The manual also says turning the power off after adjustment also saves the changes into memory.

3d wavy look...colors are red and green, how do you adjust convergence..on model # 55R-WP4H

Your convergence has failed and needs to be repaired. Once quick test is to goto your convergence menu and see if you can adjust red and blue. If not its has failed and needs to be fixed. You can call in a repair shop or you can get the parts and instructions from www.TvRepairKits.com and do the repair yourself. Its a fairly easy DIY fix.
