My pnone say ther is no sims card when it is really in. i take it out and re-install it and it works for a while and goes back to doing the same thing. now i can't get it to work at all. my sims works fine in my old phone.
There are two possible reasons why this problem is happening.
(1) Either there is dirt of some sort blocking your sim card to your phone.
(2) Or....The clip that holds the sim card in place has moved or wasn't installed correctly and is not make the proper connection with the pins.
Otherwise I would just take the phone back to the service provider and explain what is happening. I'm pretty sure that they will first want to try a new sim card, or another sim card. Hopefully that fails and you get a brand new phone.
Hope this helps.

There is a small hole on the top of the phone near the lock button. Insert a thin strong object firmly into this hole. I suggest a paperclip or pin. This should cause the tray to pop out just a little so you can grab it with your fingers
There are several possibilities here. Has the sim card been activated for another provider? Has it been activated for your pnone's provider? Have you installed it correctly? Has it been damaged or scratched in any way, especially the gold contacts? Does it work in another phone from the same provider? Is your phone locked to a provider that is not the same as your sim? If the answer to all these questions is no, and you bought your phone and sim card from the same provider, take it back to them for an exchange.
Do you have a valid Sim card in the phone? Is the SIM card inserted correctly? They really are easy to get in wrong. You have to look at the phone under good light where the SIM card goes, and you will see a notch which correlates to the notch on the SIM card. Put the SIM card in just as shown and put the battery back in, turn it on and it should satrt working.
here is what you do, call tmo from a land line phone..tell the rep the prob..they are going to tell you take the sim card out and read the little numbers on the back it to them then place back in the sidek..the rep will try to set u up from their end...now if this shall not work they will send you to the nearest tmo store to get a updated sim card...(be nice there is a chance you can get this for free, no charge)..
hi sir.. please check whether the network signal is is there in ur area.. if signal is there. check once once removing the battery once and another trick is put that sim in too ur some friend's pnone and try it.. may be solution will be solved.. thanks sir.
I too have had the "no sim card installed message. What has always worked for me is to go into settings and put the phone into airplane mode for about ten seconds and then switch back to regular mode which causes the phone to reconnect to the ATT network. The sim message goes away. This is also a good fix for when your phone isn't connecting to 3G or showing an "E" instead of 3G.
the sim card goes on the bottom of the phone under the rubber thing (idk what to call it) you need to lift it up and you will see a pictuer of hoe to pu in your sim card and for the battery idk
