Sanyo TV Each time I switch the TV on, it says "welcome to your new Sanyo TV, please wait while we tune in your channels". This started about 3 months ago. I've had the TV about 3 years

I have seen sets act this way when they are plugged into the back of a cable box. If the cable box is turned off, it disconnects the AC power to the TV, and then the next time the cable box is turned on, it is as if the TV is being plugged in for the first time and some sets go into setup. Make sure the TV is plugged into an outlet that is always on.

I have my Sanyo VCR connedted to my new flat screen TV but I need to get the VCR to chanel L1 it only goes from 01 - 125

You can't tune a analoge VCR on a TV that is digital. If the TV has a scart socket then pressing the AV button on the TV remote should show the playback. Please not certain TV models will have different indications of "AV" buttons. Check the user guide of your TV. If you only have one scart socket and it's being used for another device, you can get a Scart Switching Box see below from places like Amazon.

Test the signal strength using analogue tv mode and teletext page 284. If this shows no issue open up the TV tuning menu and use 'Manual Tume' until the missing channel shows on the screen and then Save.

I have a sanyo tv. Slightly older. Not hi-def or New

Hi:
This may be due to the possiblity that the you are on the wrong input source, If you watch HD Channels then the input source would either be componet or HDMI input. Try changing the input source of the television with the TV's remote until you see the Channels again. IF you are not watching HDTV then the television is on the wrong reception channel for the Direct TV's box. Try channel 4 or 3 or even 73.

When I can get Channel 3 on my Sanyo TV, I cannot get Channel 2-3 or 3-4, or visa versa. If I can get can get Chs. 2-3 and 2-4 then Icannot get Ch. 3. I used to be able to set something or other to switch...

Hi, check the tv tuning menu for channel 3 - it may have been set to "Skip"
This can be proven if your remote has numeric keypad.
3 will be accessible through this but not through program + or -

Magnavox LCD HDTV starts on its own since last few months and sometimes it changes channel on its own. This problem happens intermittently and really apprecaite fix for this. This TV is 15 months old.

it either needs new front switch panel or new signal module, turn the tv on and disconnect the front switch board if it quits doing things on it's own you need a new front switch panel, if it still does functions on it's own you need a new signal board.
