    I bought a GE WJRR4170GWW and it didn't last two months before it the spin cycle stopped working. I had horrible customer service with GE and finally had enough and called the store where I bought it and talked the manager. He was awesome and went above the call of duty and just got me a brand new one with not a single problem! The new one didn't make it 18 months and is now doing the same thing!! Luckily I bought the extended warranty but it hasn't been fixed yet. To me something is not right here. Anyone else????

Since the washer is less than an year old it must be under a warranty.Try contacting the customer care and get it replaced.

Generally for such a problem,the following checks need to be done.
* Test the lid switch
* Test the timer control
* Test the centrifugal switch
* Test the water level switch
* Inspect the motor coupler
* Inspect the drive belt (belt drive only)
* Inspect under the washer for soot (clutch)
* Test the motor
* Inspect the pulley
* Test the transmission

In your case I would advice to get your machine replaced with a new one.Good luck,Please do rate the solution if accepted.

My washer fills with water on starting a load but then it does nothing won't start spining to empty water

If the machine loads ups with water and does not stop then the water level sensor is fautly . But if the inlet valve stops on fill up but there is no spin of the motor or thereafter there is no spin/rinse or drain then the program controller / drain valve/pump must be checked.

Top loading washer that won't aggitate, or rinse.

without knowing more details, and considering it's age , my guess is that you have a disconnection (or a loose wire) to the solenoids under the tub. these solenoids activate the clutch system that pulls it into agitate and spin modes. it might be the solenoids, but rarely do both go out at the same time. it might be the timer contacts or connections behind the control panel. or, it might be the timer its self.
try unplugging the unit and check all the connections.
hope this helps jay

Seven flashes means the washer did not sense a lid opening. Check the lid switch.

Spin cycles not spinning, does drain water before spin

check the wig-wag.it is the part near the cam bar.has 2 coils on it. also check the yellow wire going to the solenoid it may look ok but could be broke internally.
