First off, it is important to understand that Wordpad is not associated with MS word, they are to completely different programs, with that said, in order to install MSword, you must either purchase MS word from the Microsoft website, or from and authorized retailer, (Best Buy, Futureshop, etc.).

You can also download MS Word from a torrent site, but may find it difficult to find a product key for the software to be installed properly (I will not provide assistance in how to download pirated software, as that is considered illegal in some countries)

Another alternative to MS Wrd is OPEN Office, which is a freeware Office Suite that can be downloaded from the developers website (http://www.openoffice.org/)

In respect to Open Office, are you using the "Save as" option and saving as a MSword document with the .doc suffix ?

go to My computer click on scanner it will asks the program to launch the action click on ms word then scan the image into msword

On CorelDraw, Click File-Import then change the file type to MSWord. Mine imports MSWord 97 to 2000 format only.

What it sounds like is happening is that not all features of MS Word are installed and the system is looking for the installation CD to obtain some necessary feature/option. Don't cancel the installation. Put in the Office CD and let it perform the update.

As for Windows XP service pack 3, you likely need to validate your operating system. The Microsoft website will prompt you accordingly... let it validate and you should be able to download SP3.

if you installed microsoft word properly.
click start and choose search.
on the search box type WINWORD.EXE
be sure to scan the whole hard drive.
