SOURCE: Lint is not going into pull out lint trap. The lint screen is torn and lint is collecting behind trap.

Poor air flow would be my guess. How long is the vent hose? Does it have more than one angle/turn before venting outside? Is the lint gathering around the outer edges of the door? Keeping the length of air travel shorter will improve the operation.

Open up the door and push the door switch and hit the start button and try to turn the drum by the baffle in the dryer and it it starts to go then you need a new motor.

Testimonial: "Held the door button in...pressed the start button...spun the dryer drum...and it started spinning...i.e. bad motor. nice work thanks"

SOURCE: Fisher & Paykel Auto Sensor Dryer stops & beeps constantly

Hi emkboyce

my Fisher Paykel auto sensor dryer keeps stopping and beeping, i have to stop it and and re start.

I had the same problem. I took it off the wall and vacuumed up all the lint from everywhere including around the back and including taking off the back and vacuuming everything I could reach inside. I then used a damp cloth to get rid of the rest of the lint/dust.

I thought I was wasting my time but guess what, the problem has gone.

Good luck!

SOURCE: my fisher and paykel dryer ( mod# ED56 ) wont start, power is on

I had this same problem with my Dryer. It is making the few quick beeps because it thinks the door is still open. Near the bottom of the opening to the dryer there is a sensor switch that gets pushed in when you shut the door. Try holding the switch in with a knife or something and then start the dryer with the door open to check if that is the problem.
After i did this, i closed the door and my dryer started as normal.

My Fisher Paykel dryer will not start or light up. Is there a fuse somewhere that I can replace?

No, your fuse is the household breaker to that socket. See if it tripped. Sometimes they can get 'lazy' and need replacing. They slowly click over for no reason other than load.

E442 Fridge Was noisy, now trips mains power :(

Sounds like the compressor is grounded out causing the breaker to trip, but it could also be wiring, but if I recall most things in those type of machines reduce down to 12vdc and that wouldn't blow the breaker.

Fisher paykel elec dryer not heating

Check the following to address this issue.

1. No power to the dryer
Make sure there's power getting to the dryer. Check for tripped circuit breakers or blown fuses. An electric dryer uses two circuit breakers or fuses, and if only one of two is tripped or blown, the dryer might still run but not heat. Sometimes the power cord disconnects or burns at the dryer, if this is the case, the wiring and the terminal block must be repaired or replaced.

2. Heating element
A burned out heating element will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Replace the element if found defective.

3. Thermal fuse
Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or stop heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting.

My fisher paykel DEGX1 won't heat up. everything else works fine.

If you have the same I do then it's the circuit breaker on the heating element. You have to take the front of the dryer off: Two screws on the top under the caps. Then lift the top alittle and you'll see the two screws on the front top sheet metal. The front then can be removed by pulling each side out and forward. The orange button is all the way at the bottom. Push and you'll hear it click.
