Smith Corona 300 DLE--toggle from italics to normal type

Currently my Smith Corona 300 DLE typewriter is typing only in italics. I want to know how to switch from italics to normal type.

To switch fonts on this typewriter, you need to change the letter wheel. Unfortunately, there is no practical way to change the letter wheel in the middle of a document.
