Question about Brother Multi-Function Center MFC-240C All-In-One InkJet Printer
I installed new cartridges and closed the cover however the printer is still showing that the ink is empty for all of them. I tried to reinstall them turned it off and back on but no response.HELP!!!
Is this a genuine Brother cartridge or a compatible/refilled cartridge? Inside, at the rear of the cartridge there is flag which when full blocks a sensor in the machine indicating the cartridge is full - with some compatible and refilled cartridges the flag may not be set correctly so the sensor sees that there is no ink in the cartridge. As a temporary fix place some black tape over the rear of the cartridge where the sensor arm is.

Disal, unplug the printer from powercable (not turn on/off). Open cover when printer is without power. Take the carts all out. Close cover. Plug printer to power. Machine demands carts so put them in. Machine should start cleaning cycle. see here, too: http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/BSC/public/us/us/en/faq/faq/000000/000300/000036/faq000336_008.html?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=mfc240c_all
