I believe that error code means the fan DC motor is faulty. Check the connections first, if all seems ok, I'm afraid you will have to contact your nearest Customer Service and arrange to have a service call. If the AC unit is still under warranty then you may not have to pay for any parts.

MY HITACHI WAC MODEL for 1.5 lr, DISPLAY SHOWING E9 ERROR CODE. ALREADY COMPLAIND TO HITACHI CUSTOMER CARE, BUT NOT GETTING POSITIVE RESPONSE. NOW CAN YOU PLESAE LET ME KNOW WHAT DOES THAT (E9) ERROR MEANS AND HOW TO RESOLVE THE SAME?.
