How to open a ACER AL1713 monitor

Dear Sivakumar,
please try to remove and plug VGA cable back again to the monitor. and press the menu button in front of monitor if it doesn't giving any message in monitor it means that the control card inside the monitor is faulty.for fixing that you have to contact your local service center.

The short answer, replace all of the capacitors. They can be bad without swelling. And there may be one 47mf/16v off to itself, if it fails, monitor will not come on. Also, check the menu or mode setting to make sure your VGA/DVI agrees with the cable if the monitor has both.

Capacitors C6 and C22 usually are the problem on this model. They are 220uf at 25volts. you may also notice that resistor labeled R1 may be discolored or a little "toasty" so I generally replace it while i have it apart. It's a 10ohm 1/4 watt resistor. I hope this helps.

Take the monitor apart, and replace any swollen electrolytic capacitors. If that doesn't help (and it probably will) then check for bad soldering and resolder any joints.

But if the capacitors are swollen that will almost certainly fix your issue.

Based on your explanation it seems you have some shorts problems with the other board.

face down the monitor over a soft surface to avoid scratches .Remove all screws that you can see.There are more screws that mount the leg to the monitor .Those are hidden you can not see.Covered by a little plastic cover shell.After you remove all the screws ,now you need to remove the back cover from the monitor .using a flat screw driver or another slim tool begin from one side .stick the screw driver into join line between the front and back cover and twist it gently.this is hard part of the operation.You got to be careful .try to loose one side first then other sides ll be easier.

At the base you want to remove - in order to pack the monitor - if you se at the rear left and right there are a tiny opening about 3 cm long,put inside a screw driver and it will open very easly the plastic cover.Then inside there are four screws,two on each side,remove them and the arm of the screen will be dis-attached.

1st remove the base cover by by squeezing to release the clips and remove the 6 base mounting screws. 2nd remove the 5 screws in the back cover. 3rd push and pry at the parting line to release the clips. 4th remove the base mount by removing the two attaching screws and sliding it down about a quarter inch. 5th remove the steel cover by removing the 4 wires, two screws from power outlet, two bolts from vga plug, and the other screw in the cover. and there you have it.

This is a bit tricky, but not impossible.
1. Remove the two visible screws near the bottom. 2. Pull the plastic covers off the stand: Pull from the inside (nearest where the stand is attached to the monitor. 3. Undo the screws and remove the bracket. 4. Under the bracket is the final screw. 5. Try pulling the front off the back starting at the bottom. It'll require a little force. 6. Now you should be able to get a knife in to pull the rest of the case off. Leaver by pushing the front outwards and back inwards and the clips should come off ok.
