Question about Mr. Coffee FTX24 12-Cup Coffee Maker

1 Answer

Disconnecting beeper I called mr coffee about the "hey your coffee is done" beep, it cannot be turned off, on this model. I took off the bottom of the coffee maker (I m sure I will be prosecuted) to look for the subwoofer the control board has a bundle of wires (small) going up to the clock area what color wire goes to beeper so I can disconnect it . It is freaking my dog out. Sunbeam said they would send me a upgrade model but that hasnt happened. Thanks CJ

CJ, The only way to turn off the "beeper" is to remove the piezo transducer from the control board/ clock module. Not the easiest of operations to perform. Noise-canceling headphones for your dog might be a quick fix seeing as most municipalities have ordinances covering the discharge of firearms in the kitchen........ and you never know, Sunbeam might actually come through for you without you having to shoot the coffee maker!

Hi my mr. coffee electric grinder suddenly stopped working. it wasn't acting weak or anything before this. it's a few months old and hasn't been used much. i took the bottom apart and found no loose...

I bought Mr. coffee grinder it broke , stopped working on the 3rd use... just 2 months. i called to see if any warranty, thank God i got a replacement with a different model. And now on my 4th time using the new one, it stopped working just like the first one. I'm so sad and frustrated, No one grinds coffee all the time but Mr coffee grinder would not work the only time you need it

Mr. Coffee 12 cup Isx43cp will not brew coffee. I push the brew now button and it beeps 5 times as if it has just finished a pot.

I had the same problem and fixed it. I took the bottom off. There is two hoses there which one has a (valve)plastic thing with little ball in it. I took the hoses off and the valve out of the hoses. I then cleaned the hoses, valve and the pipe arround the burner. There was like hard white dirt in them. I put back on the hoses without the valve. Tried to make coffee and it worked but was noisy . I ran it like that for a few days and still worked but noisy. I then took hose off and put back in valve. Then tried it again. It still worked but now it is quiet. Clean parts, hoses, valve, and pipe near burner good. Worked for me. Good Luck on yours.

Mr coffee beeps 3 times and thats all, no brew

3 beeps means plugged water line. Take off the bottom of the coffee maker with a small phillips head screwdriver. Use pliers (I used needle nose type) to remove the wire clamps holding on the silicone water tubes to the hot plate. In my case, the water line from the reservoir to the plate was clogged with something I couldn't see until I blew on the hose and it popped out, could have been scale, grounds etc Clean with vinegar. Back in service!

My kenmore 12 - cup coffeemaker, model # 80666 is beeping every few minutes. I hit the brew button but nothing happens

In the manual that came with the coffee maker, the beeping is the freshness alert. When coffee is finished brewing it beeps 5 times. Every 15 minutes it beeps to let you know your coffee is 15 minutes less fresh! I just purchased this coffee maker and was looking on here how to dis-assemble the beeper. Whomever came up with the "freshness beeper" on a coffee pot needs a new job! Usually when I make coffee the whole house is asleep, now the beeping is waking everyone up! Very frustrated with this coffee pot!

Turn off beeping alarm when the coffee maker is done brewing

you can't ,its up in the top behind the controls.
you have to take the pot totally apart.
only a trained tech should attempt this.

Coffee leaks from the bottom of the coffee maker

I just fixed my Mr. Coffee machine by removing the the 4 phillips screws in the bottom and re-attaching the red rubber hose to port it came off of. This is upsetting because if I knew this 2 months earlier - I would not replaced my old one with this one. These machines need a hose clamp to prevent this frequent failure. I will have some coffee now.

Turning off the beeper

The manual is not too clear on this function. Turn the coffee side on, press the middle button on the coffee side for > 2 seconds and then use S1 and S2 button to select a mode that does not show the bell.
