Question about LG DLE2532W Electric Dryer

1 Answer

After dryer has bee on 10 min. Loud vibrating sound starts

The noise starts out uiet but within about a minute it is very loud. If I let it cool for a couple of minutes and restart the dryer again the vibrating will return. It sounds like I have gravel turning in the drum. I tries to take the back of off by taking out 4 screws but that did nothing but make me more frustrated as I could not get the panel off.

I found the solution on my own thanks.

As it turned out my daughters credit cars had some how got into the fan and was jammed in there pretty good. The sound we were hearing was very similar to the player card in the spokes of a bike ( if you are old enought to remember that) on a much louder scale.

How this managed to get where it wa is beyond me.

    Thanks

My frigidaire fer231cas2 makes a horrible loud noise after its been running for 10 or so mins

There are rollers that the drum sits on. The roller surface or bearing can go bad causing the noise.

Dryer stops

If the hum is loud I would suspect something is jammed and the motor is stopped leading to a heavy current running through the motor. After 5 or 10 minutes I would anticipate the circuit breaker would trip or the motor would burn up. If the humming suddenly stops then a thermal overload switch might be activating and when it cools down normal operation resumes. This is my only insight.

Kenmore electric dryer makes a loud noise when start button is pushed, the drum wont turn and when it does turn it will stop within minutes

this is common for a bad belt or bad belt tenchioner you should replace the belt and clean the trenching when their is a stuck tenchioner the motor will flop and make a bang sound the drum will turn for a couple mins or more till the motor loses tenchion and belt slips

It vibrates but has this loud noise with it about every 5-10 minutes

Sounds like the compressor is going out on thermal overload. Call a service technician to look at it.

Loud buzz when starting, then shutting down after 10 min.

Yes, this sounds like the motor cutting out on thermal lockout.

Loud noise when dryer is running.

My guess is that the belt is going bad. It could also be a bad bearing...the noise is generally metallic. Also...a bad belt tensioner comes to mind.
