Kenmore ultra wash model 665 15869.... normal wash and quick wash LEDS blinking intermittently and will not start dishwasher. Before it reached this point it was running in the normal wash cycle but would not complete the cycle. Water would not drain. Would only work occaisionally with other cycle choices. Replaced the circuit board 1 year ago but has never worked the same since. Worked sporadically at different times. Have always shut down power with the wall receptacle switch when not in use. When turning on the switch it would show a different cycle on the display panel each time and it would run the cycle. Now it will not run at all. The last cycle it ran did not complete and water is standing in the bottom. Help!

sounds to me that you may have some suds residue in the dishwasher that keeps it from draining completely. Get you some dishwasher cleaner which you can purchase at wal-mart or wherever you buy your detergent, and clean out your dishwasher. It is a inexpensive test. Alot less expensive than having a tech come to your house. Make sure that your drain hose is mounted higher that where it goes into the drain. This is also a common problem that I encounter in the field. Hope this helps. Let me know if I can help you futher.

HI.This is a drain issue. check the following areas for faults.

1. Air gap / Drain hoses
If there is an air gap (located in the sink, near the faucet), check to see if it is clogged. Unscrew the top cap and see if there is anything blocking inside. Note: If there is no air gap installed, the dishwasher might not drain properly.

If the drain hose is clogged, the dishwasher would not drain. If there is an air gap installed, it is very common that a hose going from the air gap into the garbage disposer is clogged. Remove and clean the hose. Make sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher.

Note: If you recently had a garbage disposer installed, it is common to overlook removing the drain plug.

Ok, if the hoses are ok and not clogged, this will confirm a major issue that concerns the drain assembly or pump impeller.

replace the pump(drain) if found to be faulty.

SOURCE: kenmore dishwasher has stopped draining.

remove the kick panel below the door, place a pan, etc under where the drain hose connects to the drain extension tube, and slide the clamp back some so you can slide the hose off of the extension tube (white plastic tube) and drain any excess fluid into the aforementioned pan, etc., then unscrew the extension tube and check for plugs, or restrictions.
the sump may also be pluged beneath the strainer assembly, and that requires removing the lower spray arm, the water tube that runs up the inside back of the unit, and the upper parts of the assembly below them to access the drain/pump sump area.
last but not least the impeller is jamed and might be able to be freed by removing whatever has lodged within there..
