Might not have a wireless card installed ??

If your Toshiba Satellite notebook computer is equipped with a wireless Internet card, you can connect to a Wi-Fi access point by turning on the wireless switch on the side of the laptop.
However, the signal may not always be picked up by your wireless receiver; if that is the case, you will need to check your wireless-network settings and reconfigure the network connections manually.

Open the Network Settings program. Click on the Control Panel in your "Programs" bar and select "Network Settings."
This will give you options for modifying how you connect to the Internet.
Select "Connect to a Network" or "Show Network Status and Tasks."
Both selections will show you whether you are disconnected from the wireless network.

Select "Manage Network Connections."
This selection is located on the left side of the window; clicking on it will show you whether you are connected to a local area connection or wireless network connection.

Engage the wireless connection.
Turn your wireless switch to "On," then right-click on the wireless network connection.
Select "Connect/Disconnect."

Wait for the IP address acquisition.
It may take a few minutes for your Toshiba Satellite to pick up the signal and transmit your IP address.
When this is complete, you will see the word "Connected" next to the name of your wireless connection, and a series of bars that indicate signal strength.
Launch your favorite browser to access the Internet using the wireless connection.

Toshiba satellite p35-s609 screen darken.

It is almost certainly the LCD inverter which is the cause of your issue. It ism ore common for the inverter to develop a fault than a backlight bulb on the LCD (I used to work in a Toshiba repair centre).
Replacing the inverter should be simple, just make sure the unit is powered off with the battery removed so you don't get an electric shock.
Hope this helps,

Satellite P35-S611 has trouble charging

If you have to wiggle the power cord it is most likely the DC jack on the motherboard. It is usually the center pin in the the jack that breaks the solder point and the small tension band inside the jack housing weakens.

Running my laptop wireless

if it has a built in wireless adapter make sure 1st of all that the switch is turned on(I have a Tosh Sat too, mine is in the front on the left side) Once done, see if the wireless icon appears in the system tray. I fit doesnt appear cheeck in ctrl panel under network connections to see if it appears there and is not disabled. if not present check in device manager to see if the system sees it, making sure there are no bangs(exclamation points or red x's) on it, if it isn' t there..maybe it dowsn't have built in wireless.

Satellite (A75S206) runs well from outlet but never from battery. Was told that mobo can't accept dc. Need new mobo. True?

hello loyd516,

Have you tried a new battery? They are much much cheaper, and a whole lot easier to replace than a motherboard.

Here are replacement batteries that I found searching with Google.
http://www.google.com/products?q=Satellite+A75-S206+battery&hl=en

According to Toshiba, there has been a battery recall for your specific model.
If that is the case I would definitely contact Toshiba support about it. Maybe you will get a free battery out of the deal. Who knows.
Here is the link and the list(your model is highlighted)

P35 S6112 LAN WIRELESS IS NOT WORKING

STEVELAMBERT,
Double check your wifi switch position by taking a small flat head screw driver, and pop it loose and see if the post to the wifi switch is broken, if not properly reseat the wifi switch over the post. If that does not correct the issue, open the memory cover and reseat your wifi card.
