Seems as though whoever installed your router set it to block those sites. You will have to connect straight to router with data cable and set it up again. What model is it? If you are on a network workstation and the network administrator has blocked access to certain sites there is no way you can access those sites unless the administrator agrees to give you access.

You must make sure to use the correct username. The only username that can be used for administrator is administrator (ALL LOWER CASE). It is case sensative and can not be capitalized. You typically have to open a case with 3Com to get the current password. There is no "backdoor" way to gain access or change the password but if you have console access to the system you can enter the nbxDb command and get an encrypted password. If the system is running a software version 4.0 and older then the password is unencrypted and you are done. I can get the encrypted password decrypted if needed.

Websence is gateway security software. It is mainly used by administrators to block access to web sites that meet pre specified criteria. Basically it blocks employees from surfing sites while on company time. Unless you are using either a laptop that is provided by your employer for work related issues or you are accessing the web through a portal that is controlled by your employer some other organization. There should be no reason why it's stopping you from logging on.

Have you tried to access Facebook from another computer? or another internet access point?

If you can access it using the laptop from another access point then the software is on the server that you tried and failed. If you can't access unless you are using a different computer then the issue is with the laptop.
If this is your personal laptop then you have administrator access and you need to locate the software and delete it.

If however you are at work and trying to bypass the blocking software you should skip it because they can trace any breach back to that laptop.
Then you'd be out of work and trying to make money here and we have to many cooks spoiling the pot already. ":->

By using the proxy gateway you havce not cracked the forti guard, you just found a loophole, that is different from cracking or hacking the system.

You can use freely the Internet and bypass proxyguard by using freegate proxy, but you wont be able to use a torrent fileshare , as this needs opening a port directly on the server, and you do not have access to server.

I have done daministration on a system protected By Bess system, and I can assure you there is noway to access to the gateway and change permissions if you are not an administrator.
