My lcd display light went out so i ordered another from ebay. i installed it. now the light is working again however the phone will not come on unless it is charging and once I remove the charge cord the power goes back out.

1) pry off the top keypad cover 2) unlatch the clips in back of the screen by squeezing the arms together to release the display from the base 3) lift up the LCD display and pull forward to slide the hinges out to the openings and lift up and out.
The LCD has probably gone out. A new lcd and be ordered on ebay for about $30. Or your local repair shop should be able to repair it for around $60 - $70

hi there sir must go to your nearest service center to replace your LCD it must be damage already. the light of that phone was built-in to the LCD display. and that is why also your keypad doesn't have light cuz' it is series to the display light.
