The USB to parallel converter does not always work.

You should buy a Parallel port for your computer if you have can extra slot inside the machine. The cost for the parallel port is usually under $20.

You need to buy an USB to LPT adapter like the example below:

or check Adapter LPT USB

use the lpt (parallell port) not the USB. and be sure that your computer have the lpt port. if not, buy a pci one. recommend the use of windows xp. are you sure that your printer is FX 2175 or is FX2170?

It is available at http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&oid=14250&prodoid=8192&infoType=Downloads&platform=Windows It this still doesn't workout for you, pls post back as to how you connect the 810 to your PC (USB or LPT/Parallel), Good luck and kind regards.
