This usually means that a file on the drive is in use by an application, or the operating system. Try quitting all your applications and then ejecting the drive. If that doesn't work, I would just restart the computer.

Every time i plug my 1TB western digital mybook in my computer freezes and when i shut it down it wont restart until i unplug it from the computer i have no idea what it could be please help

That needs a motherboard drivers upgrade.

What happens is that the BIOS starts detecting and checking booting devices.

Earlier motherboards are not able to detect external hard drives and boot from them.

So the solution to this is to turn off the computer and then disconnect the cable.

Remove safely the HD and then restart.

God Bless You!

Remove the outer cover and try to connect hard drive directly to your desktop PC (if sata drive very easy to do that) and confirm the working of the HDD. If it is working you are lucky, change the controller else HDD fault

It was working fine and then I went to turn it on

If you're connecting a known-good power supply to the MyBook, and it's not turning on... I suspect that the MyBook has died. You should replace it or have it serviced. If the data on it is very important, it might be worth taking the drive apart and removing the hard drive inside and trying to recover data. If the data isn't important, I would say the MyBook is dead. Sorry.

Mybook of 500GB has a strange noise in disk

If it's making a clicking, rattling, or "leaking" (like the sound of air whistling out of a balloon) then the drive may be damaged and it's time to contact Western Digital support.

Western digital external hard drive

I would try the correct voltage adapter and see if you can get it working.

You could remove the hard drive from the myBook drive and plug it into a PC to see if the hard drive is damaged or if it is the electronics/pcb that is inside the myBook drive.

You might be able to salvage just the hard drive (use it internally) and throw away (or keep for parts) the rest of the case/parts of the myBook unit.
