There could be a problem with one of the wires leading to the screeen, or there could be a problem with the mother board. either way, you need to go to a store so they can fix it.
Your cords are crossed, get inside the DS and separate the cords, or, just get another on eBay. i got a white one with everything mint for 26.00$
Your bottom lcd display is out. I can fix this for you in a matter of hours. I have plenty of bottom lcds in stock.

SOURCE: nintendo ds touch screen
i had the same problem and have now fixed it succesfully the touch screen works like a grid and is overlayed onto an lcd screen so that when you touch the screen it makes a conection within the grid so that the machine knows where you are touching .....if one of these grids are broken you will never calibrate your screen as the ds doesnt recognise what you are touching .....in short the answer is to replace your touch screen

Turn the ds on without a game in it and go to the settings icon (looks like a tiny ds) on the bottom middle of the screen then go to the far right yellow icon and it will re-calibrate the touch screen and let you know if calibration was a success.

Hi,
Did your DS get a small bang?
The problem you are having is the L2 fuse located immediately below the on/off switch when you open up the DS (lower screen).
If you give the DS a very mild rattle you will here it rattling around loose inside the DS (in most cases). A lot of the time this same fuse can be soldered back into place to fix the problem all you need is a soldering iron and a triwing screwdriver (eBay).
If it is this fuse and you cant find it, you should bring it back to Nintendo for repair or your local PC repair shop should be able to help.

Hi,
Did the DS get a bang, if it did it may have loosened the ribbon connecting the screen to the motherboard.
