Question about Toshiba 36HF72 36" TV

65H82 changed all the caps for the waving problem on the hyper board. that resolved the problem, but now the tv when powered up goes full green then transions to a good looking raster, then goes full red and remains that way until i repower it back up.then it does the same thing. any feed back would be most appreaciated. also if anyone has any info on loacating another hyperboard that may be be the way for me to go. hyperboard = (pd0637) (pz01) (23599310c). Thank you for your time, GOD BLESS, Dan O

The picture is all waves ,I get sound and color but the picture is all lines and waves, what part should I get??

To fix the shaky picture on the toshiba rear projection tv model number 42h83. You need to either replace the 13 capictors on the hyper module or simply replace the hyper module itself. It's cheaper to replace the caps, but you'll need decent soldering skills to do this. You can replace the entire hyper module with less soldering skills, but I believe the module costs about $100, maybe alittle more. You can find the entire fix by googleing "hyper module". Good luck and I hope this helps

Toshiba 65H82 Projection TV; location of Convergence resistors

The caps will bleed off within a few minutes of being unplugged. I don't know which caps and resistors he was telling you about but here goes.
Typically along with the convergence IC's the output resistors under the heat sink are at least checked with a multimeter. They are large resistors and should match their color code markings. The caps are probably the caps in the hyper module (hyper board)
Here is a very good tutorial to do this repair or get it done: http://www.dshosu.com/how-to-fix-toshiba-rear-projection-hdtv-wavy-lines/

Slight convergence problem after changing convergence circuits

My experience has been that the resistors have fallen out of range. These aren't expensive and neither are the caps that surround this area. If you're pulling the board out to change the resistors, might as well change the caps, too. If you're strapped for cash, but have a multi-meter, you can test the caps and the resistors after they've been taken out of circuit to save a little green. Let me know if you need any help testing them; I'd be glad to help.

Snowy black picture

I would think that the signal board would be more suspect than the hyper board for the symptoms you're describing. However I would recommend getting the service manual and doing some troubleshooting rather than just replacing circuit boards.

Have you tried to contact ptscorp.com yet. Go to their web site and get their telephone number. They should be able to help you with a good hyper board. this might be your problem with what the set is doing now. Did you have this problem before you worked on the scan converter board?

Toshiba 65h82

check the screen voltages goinfg to all three tubes. Another thing you could try is unplug the crt socket to the red and see if the other tubes stay lit . There ia a possiblity that the red tube could be over powering and shutting the others off or down.
