Sounds like the mounting tabs have broken on the plastic control panel frame. You'll probably have to order both the control panel frame and the membrane keypad since they are attached. You can't peel your keypad off the frame and put it on the new frame. If you or a friend decide to work on it, we have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info at our site, which is linked at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383 Search for model number as MT9100SFB0 Another option if you prefer not to replace the control panel frame is to glue it in place, probably from the inside, but you need to be sure the mating surfaces are squeaky clean and dry.

Unlockmy lg microwave oven

As with most situations, it depends on the model number, but try this:

To set child lock:

1. Touch STOP/CLEAR pad.

2. Touch and hold 0 pad more than 4 seconds. LOCKED will appear in the display window and oven will beep twice.

To cancel child lock:

1. Touch and hold 0 pad for more than 4 seconds. LOCKED will disappear from the display and the oven will beep twice.

Only certain buttons of microwave oven touch pad work.

Hi, welcome to Fixya!

From your question, I suspect the fault is from the control board of the microwave. This is why some buttons on the the touch-pad are not working.

Have the control board replaced and the buttons that refuse to work will start working again.

I hope the above is clear. If not, please let me know.

Regards.

Model mh2175xst-0 The control panel with touch pad is very loose at the bottom. It is attached firmly at the top but very loose at the bottom. Is there a clip or something to secure touch pad?

This can be a sticker that glues to the panel and it is possible that the touch pad glue had come off.
You need to refix this to the panel if this seems to come off.

On the touch pad numbers 3, 6, 7 and 0 dont work

sounds like the touch pad control has failed ... there is a touch pad on this unit and also a control board located behind units touch pad... you can gain access to this by unplugging unit and removing console that houses touch pad /clock assembly ... once removed the only test there really is to do would be with power off remove ribbon cable to touch pad and make sure clear of any dust /debri and reconnect there are 2 small holes in ribbon cable that are used when reconnected fir into small slots and firmly connect... if that doesnt fix i would recommend a new touch pad... not sure what area your located... there is a distributor for sharp in dallas ,texas called
global micro parts... reputable company that if you give them your model number they can assist you with the part.... good luck to you

Whirlpool gold microwave is locked how do i unlock it. it will not allow me to use the button pad

Switch off the microwave by unplugging and keeping aside for several hours.
Reconnect and see if the clock had reset, if so set the time on the panel with the touch pad.
If there is no result then try to
Press and hold menu/stop for sometime to release.

Microwave Whirlpool Model: MH1150XMB The keypad numbers 1,2,3,4and 5 suddenly stopped working. any suggestions?

you'll have to buy a new control pad, or if you can solder you may take display out and see if the connections are broke to those buttons and solder them back.

The clock works & counts down but the microwave won't heat

  • Disconnect the power for 30 seconds. After restoring power, do not set the clock.
  • If your model has an ON/OFF clock display, you can choose not to have the time displayed. To choose this option, press the 0 pad for about three seconds. To Turn the display back on, press the 0 again.

Touch the clock pad. Enter in the correct time of day by touching the numbers in sequence. Touch the clock pad again.

No display on microwave touchpad for ge Model JKP62G

The GE JKP62G Microwave / Oven combination has an internal fuse behind the control panel for the microwave. The oven will operate but the microwave will be totally dead (no light, no clock). Turn off the breaker for the oven at the fuse box (30 Amp double breaker). In order to replace the fuse you will have to open the door to the microwave, remove the two screws (Torx) from the front control panel (located on the left edge of the control panel), wiggle the panel to the left (there are two metal tabs that stick into the metal frame of the microwave on the right of the panel) and then tilt the panel down from the top. There is a metal bracket that holds the control panel to the microwave at the bottom (don't remove it). Look towards the top of the microwave inside the area behind the control panel and you will see a 15 Amp screw in fuse. Replace the fuse and that should fix your problem.
