DVD player reads open and the when I push the play button it reads invalid key

How do I fix his problem? When I put the DVD disc in th player, it continues to read open. Then when I push the play button it rads invalid button. What is the solution? I don't have the manual anymore.

    My screen won't come on and my disk won't spin. The battery is fully charged and the green light comes on the front showing me it is on. What can I do. My mother purchased 3 of these for us for Christmas and not one of them works anymore. One won't charge at all and the other one is extremely difficult to charge. You have to sit and hold the charger cord in place forever.

The dvd player will not read the disc
If it won't read any disc you put in, consider getting a new DVD player, the eye is most likely gone bad. If it is only one disc that you can't read i would suggest a Scotch DVD Cleaner kit. Cleans and Repairs discs, helps prevent skipping and mistracking, and repairs minor surface scratches improving disc audio and image quality.

Hi -- my toshiba SD3990 model DVD player won't
Your DVD player is fu.k.d up.  These things are made so cheap now a days that it is more trouble to try to fix the thing, than going out and buying a new one.  You can try running a disc head cleaning kit through it first to see if that helps.

Coby DVD shows Invalid Disc HELP PLEASE
Did you make the disk if you made the disk your computer has to give it a digital signature so the DVD player can read it if you're using a regular DVD then I would very carefully using rubbing alcohol and Q tip clean the actual laser I would be very careful doing this if too much rubbing alcohol is on the Q tip it will ruin the laser you can also try resetting the DVD player by taking out the battery and unplugging it from any power source and leave it that way for at least 20 seconds to a minute if that doesn't work you might have something else wrong

DVD gives an invalid Disc Error
This is quite easily, cause by ONE reason. The thing is, the lens is very very dirty, or had broken, try to replaec it if u can, or try cleaning it with cotton.

Disc region incorrect
Power up, no disk in. Status says READ then INSERT DISC.
Press MENU (status reads invalid key icon)
Press 1 (status reads invalid key icon)
Press 9 Menu is displayed.
Press ENTER on the region, digit turns to "-"
Press 0
Press ENTER again
Press EJECT to clear the special menu.

PS If you're gagging to get at this and the remote doesn't work, pull out the tab that isolates the supplied button cell in the remote control :-)
Region 1 NTSC
Region 2 PAL
Region 3 NTSC
